Inspiration can strike you at the most random of times. So it is wise to keep a digital scrap book. Mine is merely a folder on my desktop, simply called ‘Inspiration’. In this folder I have a few different sub folders, graphics, logos, typography etc, and at any time whilst browsing the web, if I see something inspiring, it goes into my scrap book.
So, as an insight into the type of things I save, I have chosen twenty of my favorite artworks to share with you. The reason I love each one is not necessarily the final edit where everything comes together to make a picture, but sometimes it is just the concept of what is possible with Photoshop. You see something somebody has done and it makes you adapt the technique to suit your work. So don’t always assess each image as a flat picture. Try to envision the effects used to create it, it will add far more value to your scrap book!
